On the page
"GTR1000 introduction" I already showed some pictures of the housing that I use
for the handheld. But there are more relevant details, which I donŽt want to hold back to
you.
The housing (the parts) are made with my pc-controlled
milling machine. But with a handsaw youŽll get on pretty well too.

|

|
The complete unit mounted on the motorbike.... Pay attention to the
push-through buttons which go right through the acrylic window and push the original
buttons. |
If the lid of the housing has been opened, you just have
to disconnect the "Honda" connector from the handheld, and......... |

|
....close the handheld and take it out. Then it will fit in your pocket /
jacket. Notice that the housing is lined with foam. |
It is very important that the lid will fit perfectly. This will keep the
handheld on its place, so it wonŽt flutter during driving or crush the handheld by the
force of a closed lid of the housing. |

 |
The push-through buttons are sawn off buttons of water
resistant switches, fitted in an acrylic window. Within these buttons will fit thin (pine)
round sticks. These pine sticks you can get in a standard hobby-shop (length 1 meter,
diameter 4mm). |
